December 2005 – May 2006 I was part of the prestigious Max Health Care family as a consultant G.I. Surgeon at Max Hospital, Pitampura. This is a tertiary care hospital with its branches in all corners of Delhi. June 2006 – to August 2007 I worked as a Consultant in Hepato Biliary Pancreatic and Liver Transplant Surgery Unit at St Stephens Hospital, Tis Hazari, New Delhi, with professor Prakash Khanduri as Head. I independently performed all aspects of Gastrointestinal ,Hepato Biliary and Pancreatic surgery both Laparoscopic as well as Open. Our unit actively pursued Cadaveric Organ Transplant programme and were involved in promoting cadaveric organ donation as such. August 2007 – to date I am working as a Senior Consultant in the Department of Liver Transplant and Surgical Gastroenterology at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, Delhi with Dr Subash Gupta. I have been performing all complex hepatobiliary, pancreatic and gastrointestinal surgeries. We at Apollo have been doing 6– 8 Liver Transplants every week with results compared to the best centres in the world. Presently we have done over 1800 Liver Transplants.
