Patient Maryam from Iraq was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic cancer in her rib in her native country Her case was referred to Doctor Meenu Walia Senior Director Medical Oncology who commenced palliative care by collaborating with the multi disciplinary tumour board The treatment is essentially composed of therapy and oral medicines to which Maryam responded well and has continued her treatment in India for more then a decade Her palliative care treatment involving a multi disciplinary approach was started immediately to prevent further complications and pain
