Total Knee replacement, also called Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) is a surgical procedure  to performed to replace the injured or worn-out knee joint with an artificial joint called a prosthesis. Patients with severe arthritis or a severe knee injury are recommended to undergo this surgery.

TKR is a common orthopedic surgery that is performed under general anesthesia and usually takes about 1-2 hours.
