RapidArc radiation technology is a type of intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) used for the treatment of cancers of the prostate, lung, spine, brain, head and neck. Before beginning treatment with RapidArc , 3D images of your anatomy are generated using CT and/ or PET scans which are used to plan and deliver the radiation dose.
