Patient Nicholas Bahadoor from Trinidad and Tobago On June 2021 he was diagnosed with a blood cancer called Leukemia in his country there is not much treatment required a bone marrow transplant as the treatment for this cancer On July He came to India at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital and meet with Doctor Gaurav Kharya- Clinical Lead at Center for Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy, Senior Consultant in pediatric hematology oncology and immunology. Nicholas disease called as Leukemia and a very rare form of Leukemia Very aggressive form of Leukemia which is called mixed phenotype of Leukemia very high risk disease such patient will need Bone marrow transplant as a permanent cure When Nicholas came further evaluation and started Chemotherapy 3 to 4 months to breakdown his disease after achieving molecular remission took him a Bone marrow transplant Nicholas had a full match donor in his sibling elder brother so he Underwent a BMT was successful and no major challenges He managed them very well.
