Patient Mr Myint Aye from Myanmar had a rare liver tumour in his liver and irrespective of his treatment in his native country his conditioned worsened His case was referred to Prof Doctor Subhash Gupta Chairman Center for Liver and Biliary sciences and Doctor Shaleen Aggarwal Director Liver Transplant and Biliary Sciences who advised Transarterial Chemoembolisation or TACE to inject chemotherapy directly into the liver before the patient was readied for a liver transplant The patient daughter was the donor for the transplant The phased treatment extracted the tumour completely without leaving any trace of further complications and the patient revived gradually
