Story of Master Jamir Jarris from Uganda suffered from bleeding in to the nose, he had some pain in the joints , he was loosing blood , Headaches, throat pain etc and diagnosed with a very high risk blood cancer which is called Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) he had Acute myeloid leukemia unfortunately he did not respond to the usual chemotherapy he required higher intensity of chemotherapy following which his case was evaluated by Doctor Gaurav Kharya, Head, Pediatric Hemato-oncology, Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals , New Delhi who further recommended Bone marrow transplant fortunately managed to bring him remission and send subsequently came to Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, India for Bone marrow transplant fortunately his sister was complete HLA match donor for Jarris . Post transplant fortunately did not have any problem and it was successful and the disease is in remission.
