Heart Valve Replacement Surgery is a specialized surgery which is performed for the treatment of abnormalities like Mitral Regurgitation (MR) or Aortic Stenosis. A damaged aortic valve may be replaced using a minimally invasive method known as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). A long, thin tube (catheter) is inserted into an artery in your leg or chest during this treatment, and it is then directed to the heart valve. Through this catheter, a replacement valve is transferred to the proper location.
