Endoscopic Transnasal Transphenoidal Surgery also called Endoscopic pituitary surgery is the surgical procedure for the removal of tumors from the pituitary gland. It is performed using an instrument called endoscope a thin rigid tube that has a microscope light and camera built into it and is usually inserted through the nose.
TNTS may be associated with certain rare complications during or after surgery such as bleeding infections or reactions to anesthesia. This procedure may also result in a sinus headache and congestion for up to a week or two after surgery.
