The cost of Cochlear Implant surgery in Delhi for International patients is between 14,000 to 16,500 USD (Approx). Cost for Indian patients is between 666000 to 888000 INR (Approx). Total Stay in Hospital will be 3 days. Total Stay in India will be 12-14 days. A cochlear implant is small electronic medical device that improves moderate to severe hearing loss. It's used to help in adults, children, and babies with hearing loss restore or improve the ability to hear and understand speech.
The device works by electrically stimulating the cochlear nerve (nerve for hearing). It has external and inner components.
A cochlear implant requires a period of training and therapy after surgery. During this time, you will learn how to care for the implant. You will also have aural, or hearing, rehabilitation to assist with learning how to interpret the new electrical signals, as well as how to apply these new listening skills to better communicate. This will help to improve your use of the implant. How long and how frequently you have aural rehabilitation depends on your goals and progress.
