The intracranial images obtained with these modalities give a multitude of anatomical details as well as the ability to precisely identify tumour location and size.
Neuronavigation helps to correlate a lesion seen on a scan with the anatomical reality of the patient. Obtain a maximal resection of that lesion while breaching normal brain tissue to the smallest degree possible.
