Story of a 59 yrs old Mr Saw Pe from Myanmar found out about his live disease in 2010 His doctor informed him that he had Hepatocellular Carcinoma due to Hepatitis C He got treated for five years in Bangkok and underwent Transarterial Chemoembolization five times in Thailand but with no effect When the doctors decided to go ahead with a liver transplant he waited in Thailand for one and a half years but could not stay there for long due to diverse reasons He was informed of the proficiency of liver transplants at Rela Hospital in chennai by Doctor Myo Zin Before traveling to chennai fortunately he met Prof Rela at a camp in Myanmar and was advised to take an MRI CT scan and blood tests After reviewing his reports Prof Rela confirmed the need for a liver transplant In 2019 he came to Doctor Rela Institute and Medical Centre His Nephew who was his donor then got rejected Later in 2020 his donor got fit for transplant The successful transplant took place in March Two years after the surgery Saw Pe visited the hospital for an annual checkup and was fit as a fiddle He wanted to convey his gratitude to all doctors surgeons and the whole team of healthcare workers
