Dr. Ramachandran Narayanamenon pursued his MBBS from Government Medical College, Thrissur (April 1997) and did his MS in General Surgery from Government Medical College, Madurai(March 2001). Post MS, he attained DNB in General Surgery(May 2002) and DNB in Surgical Gastroenterology from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences - Kochi(May 2008). He underwent Senior Clinical Fellowship in Multi Organ Transplant Unit of Cambridge University Hospitals in UK(March 2013- April 2014) and gained experience in various aspects of patient care of liver, pancreas, small bowel and multi-visceral transplantation. 

Before joining Rajagiri, he has been working as Clinical Associate Professor in GI and Solid Organ Transplant Services at AIMS Kochi for more than 12 years and was one of the key persons involved in the Complex hepato-biliary surgery, adult and paediatric liver transplantation, Pancreas- kidney transplantation, intestinal transplantation and Robotic liver donor hepatectomies. He also had training in advanced vascular surgery and was one of the faculty members of vascular surgery Dept at AIMS - Kochi. He had also received training in Robotic liver donor surgery from Severance Hospital - Seoul in 2018 and is recognised as one among the pioneer in the live donor robotic liver surgery in India. He has more than 20 publications in National & International journals to his credit. Dr. Ramachandran has been actively involved in a series of research programmes and is an examiner for DNB(Surgical Gastroenterology) and MCh GI Surgery exit exam.
