He was elected the Chief Fellow during his Interventional Cardiology Fellowship. More recently, Dr. Alani completed a six month Fellowship in Advanced Structural Heart Disease at the Henry Ford Hospital which was completed in early 2018 Prof. Dr. Alani obtained American Board Certifications in SIX different medical disciplines. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Vascular Medicine and Endovascular Interventions. He has always been heavily involved in teaching and has been a member of the teaching faculty at Central Michigan University (CMU) College of Medicine since 2014.
