According to Ancient Ayurveda, a partial or a complete loss of functions of facial nerve causes Facial Paralysis resulting in turning the face to the side opposite to the affected nerve. The primary reason cited is the occluded and vitiated Vata in the corresponding nerves, arteries and veins of the face. Infection and injury may also result in the problem causing the damage or swelling of the facial nerves.

Facial Paralysis can lead to loss of voluntary function by the facial muscles and nerves as they get weak, numb or pain in the head, nose, lips, cheeks, forehead, eyes, pain in the corresponding joints of the face, deviation of the neck to any of the sides, tremors, shivering of head, improper sleep, speech difficulty and others.

The best remedy to treat paralysis is to regain the doshic balance and cure aggravated Vata to enhance the regenerative power in the body. 

The patient will undergo curative therapies like Thalam, Nasyam, Shirodhara, Pichu, Sirovasti, Podikizhi, Ksheeradhoomam treatment program. There would be other restoration and rehabilitation therapies as part of the treatment, which will be looked upon after the consultation by our Ayurvedic experts.
