Dr Vinodha Reddy K is joining Aster WF as the HOD of Surgical Gastroenterology, Minimally Invasive Surgery and Bariatric Surgery. He has 30 years of surgical experience both in India and abroad (UK).
He is a MBBS graduate from Bangalore Medical College, where he also completed his postgraduate MS in general surgery in 1995. He went on to complete DNB (General Surgery) and FRCS from Edinburg, UK.
Dr Reddy, later migrated to the UK and trained in Gastrointestinal, Hepatobiliary, Pancreatic, Advance Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery and eventually worked as a consultant in the UK-NHS hospitals. He then trained and earned his Diploma in Advance Laparoscopic Surgery from Louis Pasture University, Strasburg, France. He was also sponsored by the NHS-UK to attend an extensive Bariatric Surgery training program in the one of the world’s best bariatric surgical units in Belgium and thus, gained his Fellowship in Bariatric Surgery in 2009.
Dr Reddy, returned to India in 2011 where he worked as a consultant surgical gastroenterologist and bariatric surgeon at Manipal Hospital, Bangalore for the next 12 years.
He has vast experience in all forms of complicated Gastrointestinal, Hepatobilliary and Pancreatic Surgery, wherein majority of the surgeries were Laprascopic or Robotic in nature. He has performed innumerable Bariatric surgeries of all types, including Robotic Weight Reduction surgeries and Revision Bariatric surgeries. He is also considered to be one of the pioneers in Bariatric Surgery.

5. Medical Visa Assistance: Once the patient is satisfied with the recommended treatment and hospital and has finalised their plans to visit India, we will assist them in obtaining a medical visa. The patient must apply for the visa on his or her own at the High Commission of India (Indian embassy) in their home country. We provide the patient with an invitation letter from the appropriate hospital, which is required for submitting their visa application. In addition, our team is trained to answer any questions the patient may have about medical visas and medical attendant visas.
6. Treatment Program: When seeing a doctor, extra contact information for the wardroom is provided.
7. Personal case manager: Once the patient arrives in the designated country for treatment, he or she is completely under our care.
