With 30+ years of experience, Dr V. P. Singh competence spans all facets of neurosurgery –- cranial, spinal and peripheral nerves. Dr. Singh has special interest in brain tumor surgery, cerebrovascular surgery, epilepsy surgery and radiosurgery. He has operated over 400 intracranial aneurysms and is actively involved in the treatment of arteriovenous malformations by radiosurgery techniques.
Dr. VP Singh is credited with starting the Gamma Knife Unit and epilepsy surgery program at New Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences, where he was Additional Professor and Unit Head of Neurosurgery. He has also worked at VIMHANS, New Delhi along with colleague and mentor Prof. A. K. Banerji. In 2007 Dr. Singh joined Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, along with Prof. Banerji. At Apollo Dr. V. P. He has received Prize for best student in Anatomy, MBBS; second position in Delhi University, B.Sc.; Best paper award at the 4th Annual Indian Epilepsy Association Conference; Best paper award at the 7th Annual Indian Epilepsy Association Conference and Diploma of merit for an excellent poster at 3rd Asian Conference of Neurological Surgeons Nagoya. He is credited with starting Gama Knife Unit and epilepsy surgery program at AIIMS, New Delhi. He has operated over 400 intracranial aneurysm cases. He has published more than 70 scientific papers and chapters in books and has been invited speaker at several national and international conferences.
