Dr Krithika Murugan top surgical oncologist in Bangalore is an experienced oncosurgeon with a specialised interest in breast and oncoplastic surgery. She has been associated with HCG for the last 10 years and has performed more than 8000 oncosurgeries so far. Dr. Krithika primarily focuses on breast cancer as her specialist interest spanning across breast conservation, oncoplasty, reconstruction (including nipple reconstruction), use of genomics in breast cancer management and tumour microenvironment of breast cancer. She is actively involved in research projects centred on breast cancer. Currently, she is involved in investigating the role of minimally invasive surgery, including robotic surgery, in the treatment of breast cancer.



Training and Certifications

Dr. Krithika has completed her fellowship training in Breast and Oncoplastic Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons, England. She has also received fellowship training in Colorectal Surgery (Edinburgh, UK). She also has Robotic Surgery Certification from Newcastle (UK). Dr. Krithika has completed her laparoscopic fellowship training from MATTU, Guildford.


Dr. Krithika is actively involved in mentoring junior doctors and is a faculty of the DNB fellowship program in breast (affiliated to RGUHS). She actively participates in the scientific and research arm of HCG guiding and mentoring students: Runs her comprehensive breast MDT every week and is involved in journal clubs, Reviewer in the Indian journal of oncology, Has over 14 citations and more than 600 reads for her research. 5. Medical Visa Assistance: Once the patient is satisfied with the recommended treatment and hospital and has finalised their plans to visit India, we will assist them in obtaining a medical visa. The patient must apply for the visa on his or her own at the High Commission of India (Indian embassy) in their home country. We provide the patient with an invitation letter from the appropriate hospital, which is required for submitting their visa application. In addition, our team is trained to answer any questions the patient may have about medical visas and medical attendant visas.

6. Treatment Program: When seeing a doctor, extra contact information for the wardroom is provided.

7. Personal case manager: Once the patient arrives in the designated country for treatment, he or she is completely under our care. To handle any cases involving hospital/doctor negligence or malpractice against patients. We will also be responsible for the accommodation and stay of the members accompanying the patient.
